When you are a fan of the Cleveland Browns, you are accustomed to disappointment. But, this season, Robin Spann and the rest of the Dawg Pound have been bitten especially hard.
Despite decades of struggles, the Browns seemed to be pointing in the right direction. Last year was marked by several significant milestones. The team completed only its third winning season since it resumed operations in 1999. Better yet, it ended a 17-year playoff drought, capping it off with its lone playoff win during this era.
On paper, 2021 was poised to be the Browns’ year.
But, as if right on cue, the Browns have underachieved. Not only has it slipped from title contention, but the team may have faded out of the playoffs altogether. Through Week 13, the Browns hover at 6-6 and third in the AFC North.
